Vancouver and District Labour Council education sessions
March is just around the corner and VDLC still has a few seats available in the following VDLC Education sessions:
WCB Level 1 | Tuesday March 9 from 9:30am to 4:00pm - This course will provide a basic overview of the Workers' Compensation system as it applies to workers who are injured or develop an occupational disease on the job. Instructors are Sarah O'Leary of Harrison, O'Leary Lawyers and Niki Schnurr of MoveUP.
WCB Level 2 | Wednesday March 10 from 9:30am to 4:00pm - This session will build on the information and skills of experienced WCB reps and/or those who have taken the WCB Level 1 course. It focuses on effective advocacy skills at the WCB and its appeal bodies. Instructors are Sarah O'Leary and Rolf Harrison of Harrison, O'Leary Lawyers.
Parliamentary Procedure and Effective Meetings | Thursday March 18 from 9:30am to 4:00pm - This course will provide you with all the basics of parliamentary procedure and the necessary skills to run a meeting effectively. Our instructor is Adrienne Smith of Adrienne Smith Law.
