Winter School 2019

Are you interested in attending a course at Winter School 2019?

If so, please review the course schedule (click on the photo) and advise Membership Trustee Sarah Pilgrim as soon as possible, as registration is OPEN and many courses are popular and fill up early.

Winter School is a labour training program that offers week-long courses on a variety of topics from January 13 to February 15, 2019. Examples of courses include ILWU Leadership, Health & Safety, Collective Bargaining and Steward Training.

Local 517 will send interested participants on a first come, first served basis. Preference is also given to those members who have not had the opportunity to attend before.

Other important info: the local will cover the cost of registration and pay you for your time; your attendance is subject to manager leave approval.
